Excellent restaurant to stop in Matera. On the recommendation of friends we decided to try this restaurant. The tasting of appetizers is absolutely worth trying: one is better than the other. At the end, leave room for the dessert: chat with ricotta and berries foam. A delight. Excellent value for money. Fast service and nice staff.

I met this restaurant as the winner of the tv show i 4 restaurants by Alessandro Borghese. But I do not deny that I booked more out of curiosity instead I was surprised first of all the room has been renovated. Then we ate well and the service was truly professional, there is a lot of passion. The notoriety has given fuel to this family was above expectations. I can only congratulate you

I had lunch at Stano's on the recommendation of a friend from Matera! Highly appreciated as the experience was particularly positive. Despite the covid situation the restaurant is well organized with social distancing and all the necessary hygiene precautions. The menu is typical of the area, in fact we had lunch with excellent appetizers and first courses Fair prices and pleasant and polite staff.

Fortunately, what determines the quality of a restaurant is not a TV broadcast but the direct experience of each of us. The catering is of quality and the wide range of choices in a menu that combines tradition and innovation that are not taken for granted. Excellent hospitality and courtesy of the dining room staff who know how to guide you in the choice and tell the genesis and type of dishes. A really good experience. The only drawback for a restaurant at 100 meters. from the most beautiful viewpoint on the Civita is the difficulty in finding parking. So, take some time and get there on foot.

We were there this summer, an elegant, clean place and very kind waiters. Excellent pizzas, the only flaw is a dessert served still frozen, almost impossible to cut. Definitely an oversight in the kitchen. For the rest all good. I'll be back to try the first courses.

There is a reason if he won 4Restaurants. Typical Matera cuisine revisited in a modern way. Very nice and easy-going staff, if you are in the area you can't not go there. Average prices for the place where it is located. Excellent value for money. Definitely recommended.

Well-kept place, good service quite fast and very attentive, the dishes were really exquisite and well cared for in detail, I had lunch and in the evening ate the pizza even the really good one here too I will return ... I recommend booking ... I recommend the addition of stracciatella to the first with tomato ...

Nice place, I think it has recently been restored. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good food, abundant courses. We really liked the mixed starters, the first with pistachio for me after a while was sickening. The only flaw I think we needed a few more waitresses, the whole place was full and while the appetizers and the first arrived in a few minutes, the dessert arrived after 40min and it took them another 30min for the coffee Medium-high price. Among the traditional restaurants / taverns in Matera it was the best.

Recommended. The mixed traditional appetizer and white fusilli with crusco pepper and caciocavallo are excellent. The desserts are also delicious. Fast and attentive service. To return!

Satisfied. Apart from the somewhat stressed dining room manager, the restaurant met our expectations. Spaced tables and sanitizing gel available. Only one waiter served the tables in our room and, despite this, the service was kind, attentive and fast. Delicious Matera bread, served with two samples of excellent olive oil. Appetizer tasting a bit sparse but good, appetizer price in my opinion high. Note of merit of the appetizer, vegetarians are also satisfied! As a first course we had spaghetti with yellow datterino cream, stracciatella and crunchy breadcrumbs, a delight! Price of the first course right. Next time we will take the hot waffle, after the scent we smelled from the next table!

Absolutely love this place, the food is amazing!

Attracted by the reviews we came to eat here, knowing that it is a restaurant that has also participated in 4 restaurants. The food is very good, both the broad bean and chicory appetizers and the crusco pepper are good. The other starter with egg and broccoli a little less, too watery. The sheep in the pan closed by the bread, good even if it was right that the waiter had advised us to take 1 in two and if anything to try another dish. Which I would have done. I do not give the 5th star just for the staff, kind waiter but who little participant, and who was at the cashier very rude, seemed to bother him that we had booked and although he saw us in front of the house stopped to pay, he came after others customers were okay.

Very pleasant evening, spectacular appetizers and main courses, the first courses a little behind and with the sauce a little too "tight", good desserts, honest prices. Super service! Really good, coordinated and impeccable waiters. Happy to have eaten here tonight!

Recommended by friends. We were in Matera and ate here. Find traditional dishes along with reinterpretations of classic cuisine and various interesting proposals. We don't know how much it costs because it was offered to us. Recommended.

The place is slightly devalued by the fact that more bookings are accepted than the staff can handle, inevitably creating unpleasant situations. We were shortly followed by the waiter who also got the wine wrong (from white to red). On the other hand, the first courses are well-finished and tasty and have fully satisfied our expectations. Instead the seconds are normal. Still worth a try.

Finding myself visiting Matera ..... City that I recommend everyone to visit for its uniqueness .... As are many others we have in this wonderful country called Italy ......, I went to eat at Stano who won an episode of the famous TV show .... I liked the place x its simplicity .... Kind, courteous and prepared staff, we tasted some typical local dishes, finding them very good and well established .... The bill was honest, something that I have not found in other winning restaurants, in where in 2 people I spent what bourgeois paid x 4

We chose to have lunch in this restaurant, reported as one of the best in Matera, where we ate very well and the products are undoubtedly of excellent quality. Too bad for one of the first two, which we ordered as a gluten-free option, which due to a slight misunderstanding did not arrive exactly as we expected, a short pasta that was a bit lacking in the excellent pasta sauce. Perhaps they are not yet 100% organized for the management of gluten-free meals, but it will certainly remain a stop in which we will return more than willingly! Finally, the prices should not be underestimated, which we considered very fair referring to a quality / price ratio.

Very nice and well-kept place. We ate really well, from appetizers to main courses. We tried the lamb cooked at low temperature in bread crust .. Yummy, soft and tasty. All accompanied by an excellent local wine. The staff were polite and attentive. Excellent value for money

Dishes made with great skill. All I have tasted has been a revelation of flavors. Truly Super (in my opinion) the fusilli with crusco pepper, fried breadcrumbs, bacon, creamed with caciocavallo cheese: to try. The prices are average and the place is very satisfying, tidy and clean. It deserves 5 stars and I would give it 6 if it weren't for the "phlegmatic" management and reception. Come on! Many customers, it means a lot of work! Courage!!!

Lovely place. As a Singaporean we do not eat so late. Hence, I only had the traditional 8 portion antipasti and the pignata (a oven baked lamb soup dish topped with a bread covering). Lovely on a cold early December night. I had a lovely red wine. It was a memorable meal given that the pignata was a Matera dish. It was almost painful to walk out into the cold night after such a hearty meal.

Had a really nice pasta, but was less than impressed by the hospitality... Would rate it 4 stars for food, 2 for service. Side note: Pizza is dinnertime only.

Probably one of the nicest meals we ate on our Italian road trip. Despite them being fully booked, they managed to find us a table.. the pasta, pizza and local wine was all delicious and a great price! Service was excellent! Would love to eat here again!

5 stars more than you deserve. All fantastic. The friendly, helpful and polite staff, the well-kept and welcoming place. Fresh and absolutely delicious appetizers. We took the mix of and we finished everything, up to the last crumb. Even the most absurd combinations turned out to be perfect and absolutely fantastic. As main courses we have taken different things, but all more than excellent. Fresh meat, fresh pasta and soft pizza dough. We finished the meal with the meringues .. very good. The toilets are clean and modern, which is much appreciated. I absolutely recommend going to this restaurant because it deserves a lot!

Terrible service. The food was nothing special and the service was terrible. Apparently they won a competition in a Italian show and instead of pushing the envelop to become better .. they became divas!

Several regional shoes. The goodness is the yummest of the tasty time. Makes me sad to one day eventually die. Death is profoundly sad but good hats in this particular shoe store. 5 stars. Eat degustation please sir

The place is cozy, the waiter is gentle and kind, starters are simply wow. But the first course, am afraid, it's a great delusion. They're pretty heavy and highly caloric. And the Dessert's are just ok! Now it's time to pay... i've given my credit card to the guy, said to be the son of the restaurants' owner and the guys asks me if the credit card is mine. I was just freezed to hear that. I personally feel (i wish am wrong) the reason behind could be, cause of my skin (am a dark Asian). Later found out that the restaurant came out to be a winner in one of the programmes on sky. But in the episode the guy appeared to arrogant when one of participants has found a hair in the plate, responding it's lambs' hair and that's normal. The scene was criticised by millions, but however the restaurant came out as victor. Strange huh..! I was happy when entered inside the restaurant, but unfortunately not the same on my exit. Hope my feedback helps the readers. Take care!

The picture here is the starter which absolutely amazing!!! Save the middle one to the end as a mini dessert. 2 of us got the bolognese and this starter and it was more than enough. The bolognese was also great. Not your typical. It had shredded beef and some very unique unexpected flavouring in the ravioli. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

Local food. Good quality. Quick serving and competent waiters. But getting the bill took ages. Menu only in Italian.

We've eaten here several times and have always been very pleased. Our favorite dishes are the vermicelli with tomato, anchovies, olives and capers and the agnolotti with zucca, ricotta salata and pistachios. And we always save room for the meringues.
